Suspect breaks out of Rasdhoo Police Station

A suspect jailed pending the outcome of his trial has broken out of the AA. Rasdhoo Police Station.

According to police, the suspect, identified as a 25-year-old Maldivian male, had broken out of the police station on Friday after he was taken out of his holding cell.

Police said the suspect had been ordered to jail pending the outcome of his trial, but did not specify the nature of the crime.

Police said they are searching for him.

Police denied rumors the suspect had stolen a pair of handcuffs and keys from the police station when he fled.
