Couple sustain severe burns in Rasdhoo house fire

A couple living in AA. Rasdhoo sustained severe burn injuries on Monday night, after a fire broke out in their home.

They were immediately transported to Male’ City, where they are being treated at the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

A hospital spokesperson told Sun on Tuesday morning that the couple are being treated at the Emergency Room, and that they are both in serious condition.

The fire, which was reported to the police at around 11:15 pm Monday, is under investigation by the police.

A local told Sun that the fire originated from one of the rooms in the couple’s home. And that they sustained burns to almost all of their body.
