The Maldivian first couple have attended a reception at the Buckingham Palace hosted by the British King Charles III and Queen-consort Camilla.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed, who are in London to attend Charles III’s coronation, attended the reception on Friday.
The reception was attended by leaders of the Commonwealth nations.
The reception had followed a Commonwealth Leaders Event held at Marlborough House to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Commonwealth Charter.
The discussion at the event mainly focused on the potential of Commonwealth Youth to take forward the Commonwealth Charter on issues such as peace and sustainable development.
The coronation of Charles III, who came to power with the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96 in September 2022, is underway at the Westminster Abbey.
