Sticker for vehicle annual fee available online

Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has introduced a new sticker which will be issued upon payment of annual fee for vehicles.

MIRA has issued a statement announcing that the sticker will be available online for those who make vehicle annual fee payments online starting January 1.

The sticker will be sent via email, and will be printable.

Those who pay the annual fee for vehicles via counters at MIRA will also be issued printed copies of the new sticker starting January 1. However, the sticker currently in use will also be issued in response to requests made in relation to vehicle annual fee payments made until the end of December 31, in accordance with established policies.

MIRA states that it expects the change to improve accessibility to the sticker.

The authenticity of the sticker can be checked through the QR code, serving to improve the efficiency of relevant authorities, said MIRA.

MIRA states that it is committed to improving the convenience of customers, and that all of its basic services are no available online.
