Man sustains stab wounds in altercation with mugger

A man was left stabbed in the Alimas Carnival in Male’ City on Friday.

The victim, identified by the police as a 31-year-old man, had been injured by a mugger who attempted to steal his wallet.

The crime was reported to the police at 11:26 pm.

The man sustained a stab wound two to three inches deep just above his wrist, and was taken to the IGMH for treatment.

The case is under investigation by the police.
