Robbers break into MIFCO HQ, shop

Robbers have broken into the headquarters and shop, MIFCO Masfihaara, of Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) located in Male’ City.

Maldives Police Service confirms the robbery was reported to the authority this Wednesday, but declined to comment any further.

Acting Managing Director of MIFCO, Ismail Fauzee reports the two locations were most likely to have been hit sometime during the pre-dawn hours of this Wednesday.

Robbers had entered the MIFCO Masfihaara by breaking through the glass window display of the shop. No money, and only a laptop was stolen from the location.

“The only thing missing is the laptop used by the Secretary to the MD,” said Fauzee.

Maldives Police Service remains at the scene. But no arrests have been reported yet.
