The Parliament went into recess on Thursday, after completing the first session of the year. The last sitting of the session ended just before 05:00 pm on Thursday. At the end of the sitting, Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla announced that the legislative assembly held 32 sittings totaling 59 hours during the session.
