Changes to timings and locations for distribution of Ramadan tuna cases

The State Trading Organization (STO) has announced changes to the timings and locations for the distribution of government-donated tuna cases in the greater Male’ area.

STO had previously announced that the distribution will be carried out in collaboration with the Male’ City Council. But in a statement on Thursday, the organization announced that the distribution has been tasked to the Local Government Ministry instead.

There are also some changes to the timings and locations for the distribution.

According to STO, the distribution of tuna cans for Ramadan will begin at 08:30 pm on Thursday and continue until February 27.

The new timings:

• February 20: 08:30 pm to 11:00 pm
• February 21: Closed
• February 22: 10:00 am to 04:00 pm and 08:30 pm to 11:00 pm
• February 23-27: 02:30 pm to 06:00 pm and 08:30 pm to 11:00 pm

The new locations:

• Male’: MIFCO office compound and MTCC Sawmill in Henveiru
• Vilimale’: WAMCO site
• Hulhumale’ Phase I: Umar Zahir Building
• Hulhumale’ Phase II: Youth Center at H10

The STO said it plans on establishing additional distribution centers, and will announce the details later.
