The State Trading Organisation (STO) has converted its smart store in the first phase of Hulhumale into a pharmacy, aiming to enhance convenient access to health services for residents.

The new pharmacy, named 'STO Pharmacy Centre', will operate daily from 8 AM until midnight. It will offer a range of products including medicines, medical consumables, diapers, and cosmetics, similar to other STO pharmacies. Payment options will include cash, card services, Aasandha, and other insurance plans.

STO Managing Director Shimad Ibrahim announced the opening at the company's 2024 Annual General Meeting. He stated that the decision to convert the premises was made in response to complaints about the lack of adequate pharmacy services for patients visiting Hulhumale Hospital.

Shimad also confirmed that the existing STO pharmacy nearby will continue to operate, ensuring a more extensive and faster service for the community.
