Muizzu further affirmed the government has begun ensuring food security for the country, as well as finding investors for the sector.
“Glad tidings for farmers. It is a key policy of ours to ensure the diversification and expansion of the agricultural sector in the Maldives, and elevate it further from its current levels,” President Muizzu said.
He assured that the ministry specifically focused on boosting agriculture in the Maldives, has been working on improving the sector.
The current administration last year, had decided to dissolve AgroNat and transfer its activities to Maldives Industrial Development Free Zone Public Limited.
