International Air Campaign (IAC), on Monday, has announced the cease of use of large trucks for aid transportation within Gaza.

IAC, in a post on Facebook, said they are ceasing the use of large trucks for aid transportation within Gaza for the safety of its staff and volunteers effective of today.

They detailed that a truck traveling to Deir al-Balah, deemed a relatively safe zone in Gaza, was struck in an attack that claimed multiple lives.

IAC stressed that there was no safety for trucks transporting aid at present.

As per IAC, the truck that was struck had been transporting food. Nine civilian volunteers on the truck died in the attack as per the aid group.

However, they noted that the aid truck was not one of their vehicles, but one belonging to a partnering organization.

IAC emphasized that their efforts to provide aid in Gaza will continue despite the stoppage of using large trucks for the purpose. In this regard, IAC said resources available within Gaza will be utilized in the provision of aid.
