Maldivian-based aid group, International Aid Campaign (IAC) has supplied 20,000 liters of fuel to besieged Gaza.

IAC, on Thursday, said they have supplied fuel to Gaza’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital today, in the name of Maldivians.

In a video message shared by IAC, announcing the supply of relief aid, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital’s Communications Director Mohamed al Haaj extended gratitude to Maldivians and IAC. In the message, translated by IAC, Haaj said he was extending gratitude for supplying 20 liters of fuel needed to run Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital’s generators to generate electricity to the hospital and commence the provision of healthcare services as Israel continues to bombard north Qaza.

IAC states they will not stop relief efforts to the people of Gaza in fear of Israel’s attacks.

The organization has previously distributed food packs in Gaza and donated an ambulance.

The fighting began on October 7, when Hamas initiated Operation Al Aqsa Flood, a multi-pronged surprise attack that included a barrage of rocket launches and infiltrations into Israel by land, sea, and air.

Israel’s response has extended into cutting water and electricity supplies to Gaza, further worsening the living conditions in an area that has endured a crippling siege since 2007.

With strings of people injured in the attacks, hospitals, that have become over-flooded, have had their services interrupted over lack of fuel to support its generators.

As per Al Jazeera, 16 out of the 35 hospitals in Gaza were forced to close as a result, while 51 clinics out of 72 followed in this trajectory.

Some of the Israeli attacks have been targeted at hospitals.

Over 8,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, while more than 1.4 million people have been displaced.
