Worker falls from seventh floor of a building in Male’ City

A worker has been hospitalized after falling from the seventh floor of a building in Male’ City on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:30pm this evening.

A witness who saw the incident reported to Sun that the worker fell from the seventh floor of the building Maldives National Party’s (MNP) office is situated.

The witness said that the worker wearing a uniform belonging to Rasheed’s Construction Company (RCC) fell while trying to install an AC.

The victim was immediately taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) on a pickup through the help of the public and RCC staff in the area at the time of the incident.

The extent of his injuries remains unclear at the moment.

Last September, another RCC worker was severely injured after being impaled in the face with a metal rod. The metal rod was later surgically removed successfully by ADK Hospital.
