Finance Ministry has issued an invitation for bids for the construction of housing units in Fuvahmulah City and Sh. Komandoo.
The project to build 400 housing units in Fuvahmulah was announced by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in March 2022. The government had previously planned on building 200 units in the southern city, but later doubled the size of the project.
Finance Ministry had issued an invitation for bids for the construction of housing units in Komandoo back in May 2022 as well. 30 housing units will be built under the project.
Finance Ministry issued a new invitation for bids for the two projects on Sunday.
The selection process will be based on national competitive bidding process, according to the ministry.
Entering the bidding for the Fuvahmulah project requires a non-refundable registration fee of MVR 500. The payment will be made via Finance Ministry’s online payment platform Bandeyri Pay between 08:00 am and 02:00 pm on working days until end of February 6.
The bid security is MVR 2 million. The bid security period is 148 days from the day bidding is opened. Bids will be unsealed at 11:00 am on February 8 at National Tender’s conference hall.
Meanwhile, entering the bidding for the Komandoo project requires a non-refundable registration fee of MVR 500. The payment will be made via Finance Ministry’s online payment platform Bandeyri Pay between 08:00 am and 02:00 pm on working days until end of January 29.
The bid security is MVR 155,000. Bids will be unsealed at 10:00 am on January 31.
