TikTok star Hunoo released from police custody

Local TikTok star and actor Hunaisa Adam Naseer (Hunoo), one of a dozen people arrested in a raid on a drug-fueled party in an apartment in Male’ last Thursday, has been released from police custody.

Hunoo was released from police custody Thursday.

Police arrested 12 suspects from the party: eight males and four females. The suspects include movie star Aminath Rishfa, as well as a police officer officer from the Drug Enforcement Department (DED) - which had conducted the raid.

They were arrested from an apartment in H. Sosun Manzil. The police reportedly seized one kilo in party drugs from the apartment.

They were arrested from an apartment in H. Sosun Manzil. The police reportedly seized one kilo in party drugs from the apartment.

Hunoo - who already has a drug trafficking charge against her in connection to an arrest in March - was presented before the Criminal Court for her remand hearing Friday, and was remanded in custody of the police for seven days. Her remand period had been set to expire coming Friday.

Meanwhile, Rishfa, who was remanded in custody for five days, was released Wednesday.

Both Hunoo and Rishfa are accused of consumption, possession and trafficking of drugs.
