Adhaalath Party’s Thooba appointed to political post at Sports Ministry

Adhaalath Party councilman Thooba Rasheed has been appointed as Senior Executive Director at Sports Ministry. 

Thooba was appointed to the post by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih with the powers vested in him under Article 115 (f) of the Constitution. 

Thooba will receive a monthly pay of MVR 25,000 for his new post. 

Thooba had run for the Kelaa constituency on behalf of Adhaalath Party in the parliamentary elections in 2019. However, dropped out of the race three days before the election, and pledged support for MDP’s candidate Ibrahim Shareef – who went on to win the seat.
