Iyad appointed Adhaalath Party’s campaign manager

Adhaalath Party’s Deputy Leader Mohamed Iyad Hameed has been appointed as the party’s campaign manager for the upcoming presidential elections.

Iyad was appointed to the post during the 23^rd meeting of the party’s council in its third session. During the meeting, a steering committee comprising of Adhaalath Party members that will be involved in election-related matters, was also constituted.

The committee comprises of 13 members.

Adhaalath Party is the only political party forming the incumbent government coalition that has stayed true to the coalition. In this trajectory, the party has also accepted President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s invitation to form a coalition for this year’s presidential election. 

Apart from Adhaalath Party, the only other political party that has formed a coalition with Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) is Maldives Development Alliance (MDA).
