Travel ban order out against MP Jabir

DRP leader, Kaashidhoo MP Abdulla Jabir has a court order issued against him prohibiting him from leaving Maldives. 

Sun has been informed the politician was recently stopped from leaving the country by authorities. 

Jabir had the travel ban order issued against him about a week back. 

Controller General of Immigration Mohamed Ahmed Hussain (Hanafy) confirmed  to Sun on Tuesday that Jabir’s passport has been held under court order. 

“MP Jabir’s passport is held. He was unable to fly out last week because his passport is held,” said Hanafy. 

However, he declined to comment on the reason for the travel ban.
