Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been contracted by Planning and Infrastructure Ministry to build roads in G. Dh. Gadhdhoo and Th. Thimarafushi.
The contracts were signed by Fathimath Shana Farooq, Secretary-General, Planning and Infrastructure Ministry and Moosa Ali Manik, Managing Director, RDC, this Tuesday.
The project in Gadhdhoo is valued at MVR 138.7 million and encompasses building six asphalt roads – the combined length of which is six kilometers.
RDC has been contracted to complete the project in 510 days.
Meanwhile, the project in Thimarafushi is valued at MVR 75.7 million and encompasses building eight asphalt roads – the combined length of which is four kilometers.
RDC has been contracted to complete the project in Thimarafushi in 365 days.
The State has allocated MVR 1.5 billion for road development projects in its 2020 budget.
