Pedestrian injured after getting hit by van in Thimarafushi

A 52-year-old female pedestrian is being treated for injuries after getting hit by a van in a roadside accident in Th. Thimarafushi this Tuesday.

Maldives Police Service reports the accident took place on the road which leads to the airport at approximately 7:45 am.

The woman sustained three fractures to her head.

She was initially treated at the Thimarafushi Hospital before getting transferred to the Th. Veymandoo Hospital.

Maldives Police Service reports arrangements are being made to transport the woman to Male’ City for further treatment.
