2 injured in Thilafushi after a tire blows up

Two workers at the Thilafushi boat yard sustained injuries this Wednesday morning after the tire of a vehicle which was being inflated exploded.

Maldives Police Service reports the two workers were thrown in the air during the explosion and sustained injuries.

The two workers have been identified as a 20-year-old migrant worker and a 44-year-old Maldivian worker.

Both are being treated at the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), which reports the men did not sustain any serious injuries.
