Authorities discuss more stops for Male'-Hulhumale' buses

Authorities have discussed increasing the number of bus stops for transport between Male’ City and Hulhumale’.

The discussions were hosted by Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Aishath Nahula this Tuesday morning and attended by Commissioner of Police Ahmed Hamdhoon, Minister of Home Affairs Sheikh Imran Abdulla, Minister of National Planning and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam, Minister of Housing and Urban Development Aminath Athifa and Male’ City Mayor Shifa Mohamed.

Building bus stops for buses which travel between Male’ City and Hulhumale’ is part of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s 100-day agenda.

The administration plans on establishing the bus stops within its first month in office.

Heads of the relevant State authorities also discussed establishing designated areas for loading and unloading goods during the meeting this Tuesday – one more item in the 100-day agenda the administration has promised to accomplish within the first month in office.

The administration has already enforced the items related to the transport sector in its agenda for the first week; cancelling the taxi board fee, opening some of the harbor areas closed off for State use to the public and towing abandoned vehicles parked in the streets of Male’ City.
