Motorcycle driven illegally loses control

A motorcycle being driven illegally on the Hulhumale’ Highway to the Sina Male’ Bridge has lost control this morning.  

Maldives Police Service said that the incident took place near Hulhumale’ close to the white fence separating the two lanes for the opposite direction. The vehicle lost control while driving the wrong way towards the Bridge.  

Hulhumale’ Hospital said that a 23-year-old with injuries to the leg and a 17-year-old with head trauma were brought to the hospital following a traffic incident on the Highway.  

The 23-year-old has now been transferred to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
