MDP defends Sh.Maaun’goodhoo Council seat

Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) candidate Fathmath Shimana wins the seat for Sh. Maaun’goodhoo Council. In the by-election held on Saturday, Shimana won a total of 359 votes, while her opponent Ahmed Ibrahim from the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) received only 281 votes. Over 80 percent of eligible people cast their votes in this election. With this, there are three MDP members and
