The police have rescued a man who fell from the bridge that links Hulhumale’ Phase I and Phase II.
A police spokesperson said that the authorities received reports regarding a person falling from the bridge in the Hithigasmagu of Hulhumale’ at around 05:42 am on Thursday.
Police officers jumped into the water and rescued the man.
“The police responded to this report, rescued the individual, and took the individual to the Hulhumale’ Hospital at around 06:13 am,” said the spokesperson.
The spokesperson added that the individual was doing well, according to the hospital.
The police did not disclose any details.
A video of the incident shows that the person who fell from the bridge was a male. He was seen being rescued from the waters by two police officers wearing traffic police vests.
