President Muizzu departs on Dhaalu Atoll tour

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, on Sunday, departed on an official tour of Dhaalu Atoll.

According to the President’s Office, during this three-day tour, the President will visit all inhabited islands of the Dhaalu Atoll where he will meet atoll and island councils, Women’s Development Committees, and heads of various island institutions. He is also scheduled to launch key development projects and inaugurate recently completed initiatives.

The Office said the tour aligns with his commitment to engage with the people, assess their needs, and visit every island twice during his term. Notably, during these visits, he has met with nearly all island councils, except one, to discuss the development needs of the islands.

The President is accompanied by cabinet ministers and senior government officials during the tour.

He will conclude the tour and return to Male’ on Tuesday.
