Medtech to develop 30-bed dialysis centre at Hulhumale’ Hospital

State-run Hulhumale’ Hospital has signed an agreement with Medtech on Wednesday to develop a 30-bed dialysis centre at the hospital.

According to the hospital, the dialysis centre must be completed within 90 days.

Hulhumale’ Hospital presently provides dialysis service to patients with kidney conditions. However, only 10 beds are allocated for the purpose at present.

As such, Hulhumale’ Hospital said the development of an additional 30 beds for dialysis service will effectively expand the hospital’s capacity to provide the service.

Efforts to increase the capacity of Hulhumale’ Hospital were commenced as the population of the suburb is increasing at a fast pace.
