According to the police, the first incident involved people wearing helmets who arrived at De Public on a motorcycle and assaulted patrons there.

The second incident involved six individuals who arrived in front of the Kinza Café on motorcycles and used sharp-edged weapons.

The third incident – the one outside Masjid al-Noor – involved an unspecified number of individuals.

The police did not say whether the violence resulted in any injuries, or if they have made any arrests.

They also did not say whether they believe the incidents to be related.

The wave of violence also comes after a group of people barged into the Lets Coffee café located on the ground floor of M. Boaddu on Thursday, and vandalized the property.
