Four of the five suspects arrested for tying up and beating a man in the Hithadhoo district of Addu City on early Tuesday have been remanded in custody of the police, while the fifth suspect – a 15-year-old boy – has been released.

Upon closer inspection of the area, the officers found a man tied to a joali – a traditional lounge chair. The police said that he had half of his hair shaved off and showed other signs of injury.

All five suspects were arrested from the scene.
