The condition of one of the two men injured in a brawl that broke out in GA. Kanduhulhudhoo on Saturday has grown serious, and is being transferred to the capital for treatment, according to the local health center.
The brawl between the two people – a 40-year-old and a 37-year-old – was reported to the police at 09:37 pm on Saturday. Both sustained injuries in the incident and were taken to the GA. Atoll Hospital in Vilingili.
An official from the Kanduhulhudhoo Health Center told Sun that one of the men sustained injuries to his shoulder bone and hand, and is being transferred to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Male’ City.
“As per the latest information, one of the patients is being flown to Male’ for further treatment. They have begun travelling to Kadhdhoo. We believe he is being taken to the IGMH in Male’ via Kadhdhoo for further treatment,” said the official.
Meanwhile, the second man involved in the brawl sustained a cut to his head as well as additional injuries.
However, he is in stable condition.
The incident is under investigation by the police.
