Missing youth’s body discovered in Kanduhulhudhoo lagoon

A body of the youth who was reported missing from GA. Kanduhulhudhoo was discovered in the island’s lagoon on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as a 24-year-old Maldivian man.

Police said that he was reported missing to the authority at approximately 4:45am early Friday morning as he did not get in contact with anyone after leaving his home at approximately 4:25am.

The body of the youth was discovered during search efforts in Kaduhulhudhoo lagoon alongside his motorbike. He reportedly suffers from a mental illness. 

Police said that doctors from Kaduhulhudhoo Health Centre reported that he was already dead when brought to the centre.

Police, disclosing no further details, said the case is under further investigation.
