Tourism Symposium kicks off with over 150 participants

This year’s edition of the Tourism Symposium jointly organized by Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and the Tourism Ministry has kicked off at Crossroads on Tuesday.

Over 150 tourism industry stakeholders are partaking in the symposium including representatives from resorts, guesthouses, liveaboards, travel agencies, tourism organizations and travel media outlets.

Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal, MMPRC’s Managing Director Shiuree Ibrahim and MMPRC’s Chairperson Abdulla Giyas are also attending the symposium.

The symposium will feature discussions on introducing new segments of tourism in the Maldives in addition to group and panel discussions.

According to MMPC, the purpose of the symposium is to hold discussions with tourism industry stakeholders regarding efforts that can be undertaken to further develop tourism in the Maldives and seek their opinion and input in this trajectory.
