Celebrated Maldivian chef, Maha Naseer, has become a judge at the Thailand World Junior Chef Battle.
The Thailand World Junior Chef Battle began in the Thai capital, Bangkok, on Wednesday.
Maha is one of the 11 judges at the competition, and the only female member of the panel.
Four teams from Thailand, as well as teams from 12 other countries – Maldives, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Mongolia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, USA, Australia and Greece – are battling it out in the competition.
The competition is endorsed by the World Association of Chefs' Societies, and will continue until Saturday.
Maha currently serves on the board of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC). She previously served as the secretary-general of the Chefs Guild of Maldives.
Maha has collected a string of national and international awards for her culinary skills. She is also the first Maldivian chef to be awarded the title of Master Chef by the Master Chef Society of the World.
