Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal has affirmed that resort staff will be ensured housing before the end of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s current five-year term.
He made the remark while speaking at state media PSM’s ‘Raajje Miadhu’ program.
In this regard, Minister Faisal underscored housing as one of the most important pledges made by President Muizzu to resort staff. He affirmed that the President was undertaking significant efforts to ensure the fulfillment of this pledge and was overseeing in this trajectory the efforts himself.
“By the will of Almighty, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s current five-year term will conclude after fulfilling the pledge made resort staff in terms of housing,” the Minister stressed.
Minister Faisal added that he himself, was also overseeing efforts undertaken in this trajectory.
The Minister, underscoring that there are many workers who have served diligently in the tourism sector for over years, emphasized they do not receive an adequate remuneration.
Henceforth, he said the facilitation of housing for the resort staff will amount to one of the most important things a government can do for them.
