HDC contracted China's Shenyang Yuanda Intellectual Industry Group last February, to install the lifts in Hiyaa housing towers.

HDC contracted the Chinese firm to install a total of 32 lifts across 16 Hiya towers.

The current government promised to install additional lifts in each tower to address difficulties faced by its residents due to the insufficiency of three lifts.
