Police seek public’s help in IDing suspected phone thief

Police have made a public appeal seeking assistance in identifying a man suspected of stealing from an electronics outlet in Male’ City.

According to police, the suspect stole a mobile phone from BUNKA mobile, an electronics shop located on Majeedhee Magu, on March 18.

They released CCTV footage of the suspect on Monday, asking for help in identifying and locating him.

The video, taken from a CCTV camera inside the shop, shows a man wearing a beanie hat and a shirt with a leaf pattern paired with jeans. He appears to be talking on the phone.

Police asked for anyone with information regarding the suspect to contact the Galolhu Police Station at 9631699.

The police took the opportunity to thank the public for their assistance in such matters.
