15 hectares of land reclaimed from Hulhumale’ Phase 3

The reclamation of 15 hectares of land from Hulhumale’ Phase 3 has been completed.

Housing Development Corporation, in a statement on Thursday night, said the reclamation of Hulhumale’ Phase 3 is proceeding in two phases. Ten hectares have been reclaimed from the area allocated under the first phase while five hectares have been reclaimed from the area allocated under second the phase.

HDC said reclamation of the incomplete area in phase two is presently underway.

The corporation has urged relocate vessels docked at the reclamation site, adding owners of these vessels have been facilitated the opportunity to dock the vessels at the area, off the reclamation site.

63 hectares of land will be reclaimed under this project.

The land is being reclaimed for issuance of land to recipients under the former administration’s ‘Binveriya’ scheme. A total of 700 land plots will be issued in this regard.
