Man seriously injured after fall from a terrace

A man was seriously injured after falling from the terrace of a home in Male’ City on Thursday.

Police said the man fell from the terrace of a house in Maafannu district, adding he fell on top of sheet of the third floor of a building next to the house that is presently under construction.

They identified the man as a 37-year-old Maldivian. He is currently being treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).  

IGMH told Sun that the man was being treated in the hospital’s ER, adding he had sustained serious injuries to his head and legs.

A video that is presently viral on social media shows the man, on top of the building, being lifted onto a stretcher.
