President: Opposition makes up own stories for each topic

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has remarked that individuals opposing the government make up their own stories for each topic.

He made the remark while responding to a question by a member of the public on the ‘Raees ge Javaabu’ series on Wednesday; a platform that enables the public to get direct responses to their queries and concerns from the President. 

Hussain Rasheed, a Hulhumale’ resident, asked the President to clarify the truth, citing accusations that the President has said significant lies.

Responding to Hussain Rasheed, President Muizzu said the opposition is making up lies because they have no other response to give regarding the current administration’s works. Underscoring that all remarks he has made since the presidential election are available in writing, he stressed he was not hiding anything.

He added that everything he says, he says from the bottom of his heart with utmost sincerity while keeping Almighty Allah in mind, and is said with the intention to fulfill what is being said to his best capability.

Speaking further, President Muizzu the opposition of construing his remarks and making up stories to mislead the public.

The response by the President comes after he has recently clapped back at main opposition MDP’s allegations that projects commenced nationwide during the party’s former administration have been halted.

While speaking at PPM-PNC gathering held at Hiyaa Park area in Hulhumale’ on Tuesday night –  he revealed the current administration has resumed projects that had been halted for various reasons at the end of the last administration.

In this regard, he detailed that physical works on various projects have been resumed, alongside which works on a total of 527 projects are underway across nation at present.
