President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has promised to improve the risk allowance mechanism towards better inclusivity for employees working in high-risk conditions.

Dr. Muizzu said this at the Q&A program 'Raeesge Javab' on Saturday, where a member of the public raised concerns over the lack of risk allowances provided to employees of MTCC, HDC and WAMCO working in high-risk conditions.

In response, President Muizzu said corporations that mandate its employees to work in high-risk conditions, must include risk allowance under its corporate policies.

"For instance, employees working in harbor development and other similar projects at MTCC will be different from those working in companies that do not require them to work in such outdoor conditions," President Muizzu commented.

President Muizzu ensured to rectify current issues to improve the risk allowance system.

"In future, we hope to increase inclusivity for all those working in companies where they work in high-risk conditions," he added.
