Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) states two victims injured in the collision between two speedboats off Vilimale’ on Thursday night are in critical condition, adding they are both being treated in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Speaking to Sun regarding last night’s accident, IGMH’s Spokesperson said six victims were brought to the hospital for treatment. Three of them – all foreigners – are still being treated at the hospital.
The Spokesperson detailed that two of the victims, in critical condition, were being treated in the ICU while the third victim was being treated at the ward.
The extent of their injuries is however unknown to the Spokesperson.
According to police, the accident, which took place near the water sports area, was reported to the authorities at 07:48 pm on Thursday. It saw injuries to 13 people who were initially taken to Vilimale’ Hospital. Six were later transferred to IGMH.
