Police probe death of 43-year-old taken to Male’ hospital

Police have begun investigating the death of a man who was taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Male’.

According to police, the man was rushed to the IGMH as an emergency case at around 10:10 am Monday.

We have been informed that he died in the hospital, said a police spokesperson.

In a subsequent statement, the police identified the deceased as Mohamed Rasheed, 43, Ma. Sainosar, K. Male’.

According to the police, Mohamed Rasheed was rushed to the hospital after he was found collapsed inside the bedroom of his home.

The police said that while he showed no outward sign of injury, they are conducting necessary inquiries in connection to the case.
