Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with UAE’s Vice President, Prime Minister and Minister for Defense of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
As per the President’s Office, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit on Tuesday.
The office detailed that both leaders engaged in a comprehensive dialogue on various issues of mutual interest including enhancing relations between the Maldives and the UAE in trade, tourism, and other development issues.
"They also discussed pressing global matters such as climate change and energy sustainability," said the President's Office, adding that the meeting concluded on a positive note, with both leaders expressing their shared aspiration to continue strengthening the amicable relations between the Maldives and the UAE.
President Muizzu delivered his main address at the World Governments Summit on Tuesday, during which he remarked that development brought to one’s own nation by sideling friendly nations will be incomplete.
