Maldivian umrah pilgrim dies in Mecca

A Maldivian man on Umrah pilgrimage has died in Saudi Arabia.

The deceased – Khalid Ibrahim, 68, Alamaage, HDh, Hanimaadhoo – traveled to Saudia Arabia with Meegath Hajj & Umrah Group.

As per the group, Khalid died in the early hours of Monday morning. His funeral will be held at the Masjid al-Haram after Asr prayer (Saudi Arabian time).

A large number of Maldivians are presently embarking on Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia as it is the school holidays.
