Missing Umrah pilgrim found

Nimsa Group on Wednesday evening confirmed the pilgrim who went missing recently was found in good health--

The middle-aged Maldivian local who was reported missing amid his Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia was found sometime on Wednesday evening.

Mohamed Thakkan from Seenu atoll Meedhoo, traveled to Saudi Arabia as part of a tour group from Nimsa al Hajj-wal Umrah Group, to perform Umrah in the last 15 days of Ramadan.

Nimsa group confirmed Thakkan's discovery via social media on Wednesday evening, adding he was found in healthy and stable condition.

While this is the most recent in the number of rare cases of Maldivian pilgrims going missing, a local pilgim recently passed away amid their pilgrimage.
