Villa College celebrates 16th anniversary

Villa College has celebrated  its 16th anniversary.

Villa College celebrated its 16th anniversary with a colorful ceremony on Tuesday. The ceremony was held at the QI Hall of Villa College.

The event began with an enthralling introduction by Amish Abdulla, Lecturer, Faculty of Shariah and Law, and Fathimath Samahath, Lecturer, Master of Ceremonies, Faculty of Educational Studies.

Afterwards, the Rector of the College, Dr. Ahmed Anwar, delivered a welcome address.

Dr Anwar presented the prizes and awards to the winners at the Diamond Awards ceremony.

Deputy Vice Rector Abdul Muneem Mohamed Manik then presented certificates to the nominees for last year's Employee of the Year award.

The award for best employee of the year was presented by Deputy Vice Rector of Academic and Students Dr Abdullah Sadiq.

The winners of the events organized by the college's staff club were also awarded prizes at the ceremony. The prize was presented by the club's president, Hidhaya Mohamed Zahir.

The VC Policy Gazette was then officially launched by Deputy Vice Rector of Research and Innovation Dr Mohamed Adil. 

The event was held to celebrate achievements and encourage further achievements for the coming years, the college said.
