IMTM Fair 2023 kicks off

This year’s International Maldives Travel Market (IMTM) Fair has kicked off today. 

The fair was inaugurated during a special ceremony at the Manhattan Business Hotel. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Faisal Naseem, as the guest of honor, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Naushad Mohamed, and Elizabeth Agbula on behalf of Nigerians Travel Tour (NTT).

Speaking at the ceremony, IMTM Managing Director Shiuna Khalid underscored the fair was the sixth such fair.

She stressed that the achievements they have now are beyond imagination.

“When we entered this journey five years ago, no one would have imagined that we would reach this point,” Shiuna said.

In this trajectory, she said the victory was the big dream of a small team.  She said IMTM 2023 is a goal achieved through relentless hard work.

"And IMTM envisions Maldives not only as a holiday destination but also as a premier destination for global conferences, business meetings, and exhibitions in the future," Shiuna said.

IMTM Fair connects accommodation providers, travel operators and agents working in the tourism sector in Maldives with foreign markets.

The fair, which will be there today and tomorrow, will be held at the Manhattan Business Hotel.
