Fake messages being circulated under Muizzu’s name

Mohamed Firuzul, the spokesperson of the president-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, has cautioned the public over fake messages being circulated under Muizzu’s name.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday morning, Firuzul said the messages were being circulated on Telegram.

“We have noted Telegram messages being circulated under the president-elect’s name, requesting to meeting or inviting for meetings. These are not real messages,” he said.

At Sunday’s press conference, Firuzul briefed reporters on the latest updates on the transitional process.

In this regard, he said transitional committees formed for the transfer of power will begin making visits to government offices starting today.

Noting all government agencies had provided assurances of cooperating during the transition process, Firuzul expressed hope for the actual implementation of this.
