Dhivehi Bahuge Academy congratulates Muizzu

Dhivehi Language Academy has congratulated President-Elect Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

Dhivehi Language Academy extended their congratulations to President-Elect Dr Mohamed Muizzu and Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef on X on Monday.

“The Dhivehi Bahuge Academy congratulates President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and Vice President-elect Hussain Mohamed Latheef,” said the academy.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has also offered his congratulations to Muizzu after his win in the presidential elections.

In addition to President Solih, other countries, including Saudi Arabia, the US, India, and Sri Lanka, are also extending greetings and congratulating Muizzu. Some international organizations and even prominent individual people are also sending congratulatory messages to Muizzu.

Looking at the results of the second round of the presidential elections, PPM-PNC candidate Muizzu won the election with 129,159 votes (54 percent). MDP candidate, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih got 109,868 votes (46 percent). Which means that Muizzu won by 19,291 votes.
