Evidence kept at the N. Maafaru Police Station, including narcotics, have been reported stolen.
A police spokesperson said the theft took place on August 13.
According to the spokesperson, items stolen from the police station include drugs and alcohol.
The police said they are conducting a criminal investigation into the theft, and that an internal investigation is being run by the Professional Standards Command.
The drugs stolen from the station were reportedly seized from a boat on August 12. While the drugs were stolen the next day, police have yet to make an arrest in the drug case.
